A trio of our most popular bubbles - the classic 2015 Estate Brut Cuvée, fruity and floral 2016 Brut Rosé, and the epitome of Domaine Carneros, 2012 Le Rêve Blanc de Blancs.
Our Estate Brut is a small cuvée comprised only of grapes grown in our own vineyards. Richness and complexity begin on the nose, with bounding aromas of green apple, crème brûlée, and orange blossom. The palate is dense and full, revealing juicy pear, honey dew melon and lemon zest, with a savory underpinning that melds into the long finish. Vividly capturing the character of our Estate vineyards, here’s another great example of low-yield, exceptional harvest that 2015 gave us.
A favorite among our enthusiasts, our 2016 Brut Rosé expresses great balance while emphasizing fruity and floral characteristics. Rosé wines are often believed to be made only from Pinot Noir, but the best, including ours, have Chardonnay added for structure. On the nose, the 2016 vintage welcomes the senses with aromas of watermelon, red roses, apricot, and toasted macadamia nuts. Flavors of peaches, mandarin, and pink grapefruit evoke the bliss of a perfect summer day through the long, silky finish.
2012 Le Rêve Blanc de Blancs is a highly respected tête de cuvée - our winery’s finest Sparkling wine and frequently named America’s Best Sparkling. French for “the dream,” Le Rêve is crafted from 100% estate-grown Chardonnay, making it a pure expression of Domaine Carneros. On the nose there is lovely notes of white flowers, Meyer lemon, poached pear and a hint of grilled pineapple, and the palate opens up to honeysuckle and crème brûlée. The full mouth feel leads to a very round and long finish.
