Domaine Carneros Vintage Brut represents the best of Carneros Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, crafted in using exacting méthode traditionnelle standards and aged a minimum of three years. The newest release of our Brut Cuvée features notes of poached pear, lemon zest, baked apple, almond paste, and pie crust with a toasty finish that lingers on the palate. 3-liter bottles are ideal for medium sized gatherings, events and weddings.

Tasting Notes
The 2020 Brut Cuvée is a very focused and elegant wine displaying lovely notes of pear, green apple, and citrus zest with a hint of light toastiness. On the palate this wine reveals nuances of baked apple, brioche, and a touch of key lime pie that complement the notes from the nose. Aged in our cellar to enhance complexity and development, this cuvée presents the classic long and round toasty flavor that Domaine Carneros is known for.
Vineyard Notes
The 2020 vintage is defined by low yields and concentrated, complex fruit. Early spring frosts and rain during May fruit set limited the number of berries per cluster, which allowed the vine to concentrate more of its resources towards each berry during development. Limited winter rainfall kept berries small while optimal temperatures throughout July and August ripened them beautifully. Harvest commenced on August 3rd and was one of the fastest in recent memory. All grapes destined for our sparkling wine were picked within 3 weeks, and by September 17th, our 34th harvest was complete.

Food Pairing Notes
Brut Cuvée is our most versatile wine for food pairing; as fine with oysters as it is with filet mignon. Our winemaker particularly loves it with soft cow milk cheeses or an expertly grilled sole meuniere.
