Our glamorous tête de cuvée rosé makes a brief appearance each holiday season, a masterful expression of vintage composed of our finest blocks of estate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Only made in limited quantities, the Le Rêve Rosé is reserved for Club members and a few clients who seek it out. Composed of our best estate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, its soft coral hue is derived from its brief contact with the Pinot Noir skins. This is a stunning wine that drinks beautifully now but will age gracefully for those with the patience to wait.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Composed of our best estate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, this wine is created from two different pinot noir components: classic base wines without skin contact and base wines that undergo maceration for a few days for color extraction. This brief skin contact is essential to the delicate fruitiness and soft coral hue. As with our Le Rêve Cuvée family, this méthode traditionnelle rosé enjoys six years of aging before release. The alluring nose brims with a bouquet of roses, cherry reduction sauce, orangesicle, and ginger. The palate unfolds seamlessly - fresh strawberry, apricot, peaches, molasses, and a hint of ginger snap - sailing on bright acidity, finishing long and round with hallmark Carneros minerality. This wine shows its pedigree from our Le Rêve Cuvée, with elegant structure revealing itself behind the fruity entry.
Vineyard Notes
The 2016 harvest was a high quality vintage marked by mild, consistent weather through the growing season and lower than average temperatures in the crucial months of June and July. This allowed the grapes to ripen slowly and consistently, providing optimum flavor development.
Winemaker Notes
This wine is created from two different Pinot Noir components: classic base wines without skin contact and base wines that undergo maceration for a few days for color extraction. This second component is essential to the delicate fruitiness and color. Most other producers of Rosé have still red wine added and most often the wines with this procedure produces a flavor memory that is not to our palate. We strive for a seamless, elegant, lightly fruity wine that has nothing in common with red wine.
Food Pairing Notes
A gift to cherish, savor this wine on its own, or with the finest caviar, rich cheeses, peach salad, or duck with orange glaze. Our winemaker suggests enjoying alongside a holiday dessert of gingerbread or cheesecake.
